SHOP FOR A CAUSE

Seeds of Service (SOS) staff work tirelessly with Brick Township High School and Brick Memorial High School to create a work readiness program that provides opportunities for students to grow and flourish in a supportive and enriching environment. These Structured Learning Experiences (SLE) have allowed students to gain workplace readiness skills, which enable students with special needs to realize they are valued in the workplace and can succeed in any environment, given the right support.

With the assistance of our SLE students, SOS is able to operate virtual thrift shops on eBay and Facebook Marketplace. Students assist with photographing, listing, and organizing items for sale. Through their participation in the SLE program, students gain crucial work readiness skills while also supporting SOS’ community outreach programs.
